We are the “Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece”, a Specially Recognized Association as Philanthropic of Non-profit character and specially Certified as Social Care Service Provider and we process your personal data as a data controller. This means that we are responsible for how we process and protect your data.
WHY WE USE YOUR DATA:
We will use your data, collected electronically or in person, among other things, to manage the purchase of products or services to you or to answer your questions; Depending on how you interact with our Platform, e.g. depending on the services, products or functions you wish to receive, we will process your personal data for the following purposes:
Fulfillment and execution of the sales or service contract you have concluded with the Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece on the platform: This purpose includes the processing of your data, mainly to communicate with you about updates or informative notifications related to the functions, products or services for which a contract has been concluded, to manage the payment of the purchased products, regardless of the payment procedure followed. To activate the mechanisms needed to prevent and detect unauthorized uses of the Platform (for example, during the purchase and returns process) and possible fraud committed against you and/or against us. WHAT PERSONAL DATA IS COLLECTED:
The personal data collected on this site are the following:
1. The data (Name, Phone, Email) that the user fills in, through the Contact Form.
2. The Internet Protocol (IP) address of the device, which is automatically recorded/ logged through the log files while entering the site. The IP is the unique numeric address/numerical number of the user’s device and the log files are log files on the server where the site is hosted. The logging is done automatically and cannot be bypassed as it is done for security reasons, such as to protect the site from malicious attacks.
3. Information collected through the cookies installed in the visitor’s device, if the visitor consents to the use of these cookies while entering the site. WHY WE USE YOUR DATA:
We can legally process your data for various reasons. The main reason is for the performance of the contract you enter into with us when making a purchase or when you receive any of our services or features; however there are further reasons that allow us to use it, such as, among others, our interest in answering your questions or the consent you give us to send you our newsletter.
WITH WHOM WE SHARE PERSONAL DATA:
1. The data that the visitor inserts in the Contact Form of the website -if so- is not accessible to third parties.
2. As for the automatic recording of the visitor’s IP through the log files, recipients may be network service providers used for hosting our site.

In relation to the service of promotion of the Association’s activities and products, we will process your data until you cancel your subscription to the Newsletter.
Regardless of how we process your data for the period of time strictly necessary to achieve the respective purpose, we will then keep them duly stored and protected for the period of time during which liability may arise from their processing, in accordance with the applicable legislation. Once the limitation period for any claim has expired, we will proceed to the deletion of the personal data.
