Unique Production Unit in Greece, carrying out orders for cleaning products for many public and private bodies, the Armed Forces, e.t.c, securing this way the maintenance of this traditional field of manual employment for blind workers.
About the Workshop
This Workshop was created in 1952 with the aim of integrating visually impaired people into the production process of cleaning products, as a unique and innovative field of professional rehabilitation.
A major impetus for the development of this Workshop was the Royal Decree of 1954, according to which all products made by the blind workers should be absorbed by the Armed Forces and Public Organizations, through the direct award of contracts.
The employed workers are constantly trained and involved in all production stages and alternated to the various positions according to the needs and the flow of orders; the high quality products are produced under strict specifications and distributed to Municipalities throughout Greece, the Armed Forces, Public and Private Entities, Private and Public Hospitals, supermarkets e.t.c.
